Conventional methods had strong limitations to detect some foodborne pathogens. The culturing of the microorganisms in a sample to produce sufficient cells for detection means that at least 24 hours are needed to perform a microbiological test. So traditional tests are too slow methods and can’t provide fast enough results to check key points in food safety and quality controls.

In order to improve this time limiting techniques the use of molecular methods has become a crucial step. The qPCR allow you to obtain fast results and high sample processing rate.
