Primun Salmonella T and Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium
Description
The SalTypm&PriSal-T dtec-qPCR Duplex contains individual ready-to-use tubes containing all the components needed for Primun Salmonella T and Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium detection by using multiplexed qPCR. Salmonella, closely related to the Escherichia genus, is ubiquitous in both cold- and warm-blooded animals (including humans), and in several environmental niches. Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium (commonly known as Salmonella sv. Typhimurium) is a pathogenic Gram-negative bacterium predominately found in the intestinal lumen. It is responsible for gastroenteritis in humans and other mammals, often resulting from the ingestion of contaminated food. Due to the nature of serovars it is notheworthy to remark that undescribed new serotypes may exhibit cross-reactivity with the assay.
ST CAL16 Str+/Rif+/Enr- is a vaccine strain for poultry farms used in the live Primun Salmonella T vaccine (Calier). This product serves as a DIVA assay, specifically designed to differentiate between wild type and vaccine strains.
