Anaplasma marginale
Description
The AnaMar dtec-qPCR comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Anaplasma marginale detection by using qPCR. Anaplasma marginale is a small obligate intracellular Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the Ehrlichiaceae family. It is the most pathogenic species capable of causing anaplasmosis, a form of tick fever carried by specific cattle tick species. Anaplasmas reside in host blood cells, commonly causing haemolytic anaemia due to the damage done to red blood cells. A. marginale is endemic to tropical and subtropical regions of the world.
