Arcobacter spp.
Description
The ArcSpp dtec-qPCR comprises a series of species-specific targeted reagents designed for Arcobacter spp. detection by using qPCR. Arcobacter species are Gram-negative spiral-shaped organisms belonging to the family Campylobacteraceae. Some Arcobacter species can cause diarrhoea in humans and animals, for this reason has been classified as emergent pathogens by the International Commission on Microbial Specifications for Foods. Their infection involves usually stomach pain and nausea, as well as aqueous diarrhoea but can also have an asymptomatic course.
