Avian infectious bronchitis virus
Description
The AIBV dtec-RT-qPCR comprises a series of species-specific targeted reagents designed for Avian infectious bronchitis virus (AIBV) detection by using qPCR. Avian infectious bronchitis virus is a coronavirus (ssRNA) which infects chickens, causing the associated disease infectious bronchitis. It is a highly infectious avian pathogen which affects the respiratory tract, gut, kidney and reproductive systems of chickens. There is also evidence that AIBV can infect other avian species. AIBV affects the performance of both meat producing and egg producing birds and is responsible for substantial economic loss within the poultry industry.
