Bovine

Description

The Bovine qPCR comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Bovine detection by using qPCR. Food fraud represents an increasing global concern with significant implications for economic integrity, public health, and consumer confidence. The Bovine qPCR assay has been developed for the identification of Bos taurus, as well as other species in the Bos genus, including Bos indicus, in both raw meat and processed food products. It is not recommended for trace detection. This assay provides accurate and sensitive identification, contributing to regulatory enforcement, food authenticity verification, and the prevention of species substitution. The assay design is based on a nuclear target as described by Nesvadbova et al. (2022).
