Description
The HBV dtec-qPCR comprises a series of species-specific targeted reagents designed for detection of Hepatitis B virus by using qPCR. Hepatitis B virus is a member of the Hepadnavirus family responsible of hepatitis B illness. Morphologically is a partially double stranded DNA virus, composed of a nucleocapsid core, surrounded by an outer lipoprotein envelope. Hepatitis B is an infectious illness of the liver that affects hominoidea, including humans. The infection can cause chronic liver disease and chronic infection and puts people at high risk of death from cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer.
