The MycbIntChi dtec-qPCR comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Mycobacterium intracellulare subsp. chimaera detection by using qPCR. Mycobacterium intracellulare subsp. chimaera is a slow growing aerobic mycobacterium from the Mycobacteriaceae familly. It can produce endocarditis and bacteremia in humans that have undergone surgery in a room with aerosols coming from an infected source.
