Neonatal Porcine Diarrhoea GeneExpres
Description
The Neonatal Porcine Diarrhoea GeneExpres RT-qPCR-Panel-8 comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Escherichia coli toxA, eae, faeG, pHSTA, HSTB and Clostridium perfringens Beta, Epsilon, Beta2 toxins detection by using qPCR. Of all the diseases in the sucking piglet, diarrhoea is the most common and probably the most important. The consequences of profuse, watery diarrhoea will be a rapid loss of water, electrolytes, and nutrients. Due to the limited body reserves of the new-born piglet, this will soon lead to a severe condition and the piglet may die within hours. The NPDiarrhoea-Panel-8 allows to evaluate the mRNA expression of eight virulence factors from different organisms related with neonatal pig diarrhoea. The Clostridium perfringens genes cpb, coding for the Beta toxin; etx, coding for the Epsilon toxin and cpb2, coding for the Beta 2 toxin. Additionally, faeG, coding for the F4 fimbriae; toxA, coding for the heat-labile enterotoxin (LT); eae, coding for the intimine, porcine Heat-stable toxin A and Heat-stable toxin B from Escherichia coli.
