Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Paratyphi A
Description
The SalPar-A dtec-qPCR comprises a series of species-specific targeted reagents designed for detection of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Paratyphi A species by using qPCR. Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Paratyphi A (also referred as Salmonella Paratyphi A) is responsible of causing paratyphoid fever in humans. Salmonella Paratyphi A has a significant and emerging global public health problem and accounts for one fifth of all cases of enteric fever in many areas of Asia. As the bacteria only infects humans, the lack of an appropriate laboratory animal model has limited their study.
