Description
The TriSpp dtec-qPCR comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Trichomonas spp. detection by using qPCR. Trichomonas is a genus of anaerobic, flagellated protozoan parasites belonging to the Trichomonadidae family. Trichomonas is typically found in anaerobic environments and it is a known parasite of many different vertebrate animals including humans, dogs, cats, and birds. This genus includes species as T. tenax, commonly found in the oral cavity of humans and T. vaginalis, etiologic agent of trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted infection of the urogenital tract in humans.
