Avian Oncogenic Virus
Description
The Avian Oncogenic Virus dtec-RT-qPCR-Panel-2 comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Avian leukosis virus types A and B detection by using qPCR. Avian leukosis virus belongs to a family of viruses called retroviruses, single-stranded RNA enveloped viruses. ALV infection in chickens is known to induce increased mortality, tumors, delayed growth, and suboptimal egg production. Avian leukosis virus have been divided into 10 envelope subgroups, A through J, based on host range, receptor interference patterns, and neutralization by antibodies. The subgroup A is included in the non-cytopathic group. The subgroup B is included in the cytopathic group which can cause transient cytotoxicity in 30-40 % of the infected cells.
