Chlamydia muridarumChlamydia pneumoniae and Chlamydia trachomatis

Description

The Chlamydia-1 qPCR Triplex comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Chlamydia muridarum,  Chlamydia pneumoniae and Chlamydia trachomatis detection by using multiplexed qPCR. Chlamydia is a genus of Gram-negative, obligate intracellular bacteria belonging to the Chlamydiaceae family. The species Chlamydia trachomatis primarily infects humans, causing urogenital infections, trachoma, and lymphogranuloma venereum. Chlamydia pneumoniae is a respiratory pathogen in humans, associated with atypical pneumonia, bronchitis and pharyngitis. Chlamydia muridarum mainly infects rodents and is associated with respiratory and genital tract infections. Transmission occurs through direct contact with infected secretions via sexual, ocular, or respiratory routes, depending on the species. These bacteria are found worldwide in human and animal populations.
