Mycoplasma gallisepticum & Mycoplasmopsis synoviae

Description

The MycGal&MycSyn qPCR Duplex comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasmopsis synoviae detection by using multiplexed qPCR. Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasmopsis synoviae (formerly Mycoplasma synoviae) are wall-less bacteria that primarily affect avian species, particularly poultry such as chickens and turkeys. M. gallisepticum causes chronic respiratory disease in chickens and infectious sinusitis in turkeys, leading to clinical manifestations including coughing, nasal discharge, conjunctivitis, reduced egg production, and poor growth performance.

Transmission occurs via aerosols, direct contact, and infected eggs. M. synoviae causes infectious synovitis and respiratory disease, often presenting clinically with joint swelling, lameness, airsacculitis, and reduced egg production. Transmission occurs both vertically and horizontally through direct contact, aerosols, and contaminated equipment. Both pathogens are distributed worldwide and have a significant economic impact on the poultry industry.
