Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium and Primun Salmonella T

Description

The SalTypm&PriSal-T qPCR Duplex comprises a series of specific targeted reagents, for Veterinary diagnostic, designed for PriSal-T and SalTypm detection by using multiplexed qPCR. Salmonella spp., closely related to the Escherichia genus, is ubiquitous in both cold- and warm-blooded animals (including humans), and in other environmental niches. Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium (commonly known as Salmonella sv. Typhimurium) is a pathogenic Gram-negative bacterium predominately found in the intestinal lumen. It is responsible for gastroenteritis in humans and other mammals, often resulting from the ingestion of contaminated food. Due to the nature of serovars it is noteworthy to remark that undescribed new serotypes may exhibit cross-reactivity with the assay.

The target species are chickens (broilers and future laying and breeding pullets). The sample type consists of pure cultures and plate growth. This DIVA assay is specifically designed to discriminate between samples of wild strains and the vaccine strain ST CAL16 Str+/Rif+/Enr- used in the live vaccine Primun Salmonella T from Calier, which have been previously identified as Salmonella serovar Typhimurium.
