Brachyspira intermedia

Description

The BraInt dtec-qPCR comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Brachyspira intermedia detection by using qPCR. Brachyspira intermedia belongs to the Brachyspira genus, which contains flagellated, slow growing, Gram-negative spirochetes. These bacteria are found in the large intestines of different animal species, including humans. B. intermedia has been detected in diarrheic dogs and some strains seem to cause swine dysentery and egg production issues in chicken. Migratory water birds are a reservoir for this microorganism.
