Human Influenza type A and Human Influenza type B
Description
The HIA+B dtec-RT-qPCR Duplex contains individual ready-to-use tubes containing all the components needed for Human Influenza type A and Human Influenza type B detection by using multiplexed qPCR. Influenza is an infectious disease caused by an influenza virus. Influenza viruses are negative-sense, single-stranded, segmented RNA viruses belonging to the Orthomyxoviridae family. Symptoms can be mild to severe and includes high fever, runny nose, sore throat, muscle and joint pain, headache, coughing, and feeling tired. These symptoms typically begin two days after exposure to the virus and most last less than a week. Three of the four types of influenza viruses affect humans: type A, type B, and type C, but the responsible of the seasonal flu are mainly types A and B. This assay can be used to detect the causative agents of the seasonal flu and differentiate between Influenza type A and B.
