Description
The CatSpp dtec-qPCR comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Catonella spp. detection by using qPCR. Catonella spp. is a Gram-negative, obligately anaerobic, non-spore-forming and non-motile bacterial genus belonging to the family of Lachonospiraceae. It is a related to endodontic infections and periodontitis, which is the inflammation of the endocardium. Catonella spp. has only been isolated in the oral cavity of humans suffering from chronic periodontitis or endodontic infections.
