The FCoV RT-epPCR comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Feline coronavirus detection by using RT-epPCR. Feline coronavirus is a positive stranded RNA virus that is infectious to cats worldwide. This virus is part of the coronavirus group 1, which includes the porcine gastroenteritis swine coronavirus, the canine coronavirus and human coronavirus 229E. The Feline coronavirus has two different forms; the Feline enteric coronavirus that infects the intestines and the Feline infectious peritonitis virus that causes the disease feline infectious peritonitis.
