Description
The HParV-B19 dtec-qPCR comprises a series of species-specific targeted reagents designed for detection of Human parvovirus B19 species by using qPCR. Human parvovirus B19,sometimes referred as erythrovirus B19 or B19 virus, was the first known human virus in the family Parvoviridae, genus Erythroparvovirus; it measures only 23–26 nm in diameter being one of the smallest DNA viruses. Parvovirus B19 is most known for causing disease in the pediatric population; however, it can also affect adults. It is the classic cause of the childhood rash called fifth disease or erythema infectiosum, or “slapped cheek syndrome.”
