Tetragenococcus muriaticus
Description
The TetMur dtec-qPCR comprises a series of specific targeted reagents designed for Tetragenococcus muriaticus detection by using qPCR. Tetragenococcus is a gram-positive, facultatively aerobic, moderately halophilic and non-motile bacterial genus within the Enterococcaceae family. This genus is characterised by the arrangement of cocci in tetrads. Tetragenococcus muriaticus was initially isolated from fermented squid liver sauce and it is often found in environments associated with fermented seafood products. It requires NaCl for growth and has been shown to produce organic acids, amino acids and flavouring compounds during the fermentation of salty foods.
